BELCO pioneered the use of Licensed Opticians going 'on-site' to Canadian industry more than 40 years ago, to provide Safety RX eyewear, thus creating the (store at your door) concept. Today BELCO provides both in-plant (locally) and off-site services, utilizing dispensing optometrists and optical stores coast to coast.

From the early days of dispensing hardened glass, we moved on to CR39 (plastic), and then into the prescription lense of today called 'Tuf-N-Lite'. This polycarbonate material is 10X more impact resistant, 40% lighter & thinner than CR-39 and has 99.5% rate of UV absorbtion.

BELCO offers the widest selection of RX safety frames (CSA/ANSI) in Canada, enabling us to fit virtually anyone, with prices to suit any pocketbook. With experienced licensed opticians on staff, BELCO is uniquely able to provide the widest selection of RX and non-RX (Plano's) to ensure the correct fit, thereby enhancing wearer compliance.

It should be noted that BELCO has addressed vital issues such as Liability Insurance (for the company as well as the opticians), W.S.I.B. clearence (imperitive for on-site visits) and ISO Certification (for quality assurance).
